FEATURED "PIC OF THE DAY" FEBRUARY 10, 2006
February 10th's first photo comes from Island Falls Subdivision's Mile 115 February 8th, the location of one of many specially built Hi-Rail turnarounds along the remote stretch of trackage. What you see here is a prime example of Northern winter Railroading as a Section Crew gets stuck in the snow while performing their turnaround. The only tow truck available around these parts is the power for the northbound 421 Little Bear and is seen here just wrapping up successfully pulling out the Section's Dodge. The power, once these chains are removed, will recouple to their over 50 car consist, and continue on to Moosonee.
