December 9th's "Pic of the Day" is captured Wednesday, December 7th along Cochrane Yard's Side ramp track as MTL Employees tie down and secure one of six North American Construction group Caterpillar 777D rock trucks destined for the DeBeers Victor Diamond Mine at Attawapiskat. As you can see, the trucks must have the tires removed in order to accomodate railway travelling. The trucks originated at Alberta and were shipped to Cochrane on heavy duty float trucks minus the huge dump boxes. The boxes will be shipped separately.
