We're moments away from the departure of October 24th's 516 at Hearst with today's muscle being supplied by GP38-2 1808 & GP40-2 2201. There's a 4 man crew on board today's train which includes our Conductor Larry, our Brakeman Neil, our Engineman Gavin, and our ESB Trainee Sheldon. ONR is presently in the process of training some Conductors to be Engineman (called ESB's). Once the in-class training is completed, the trainees head out on the road for some 'hands on' experience under the watchful eyes of senior Enginemen.
