This photo was captured August 17th as the morning's 423 Polar Bear Express looked a little more 'unique' than usual as GP9 1603 is m.u.'d with GP38-2 1801 'elephant style' for today's trip. Of course, this means the power will be ran around Moosonee's Wye before coupling up to the southbound end of the consist for tonight's trip home. The train is seen here at track speed racing by Island Falls' Mile 5.
