FEATURED "PIC OF THE DAY" APRIL 20, 2005
April 20th's "Pic of the Day" comes from Cochrane as today's switching job takes an interesting twist. With last night's 213 consisting of plenty of concentrate filled covered gondolas weighing in at approximately 200,000 pounds a piece (part of the ON/CN Routing Agreement) and Kap & Smooth Rock empties tied in behind them, today's Yard Crew elect to switch from the south end of the Yard rather than get ol' reliable here to try to pull the gondolas. Once the designated cars are weeded out, the boys head back to the north end of the Yard to continue their necessary switching. Here we see today's Yard Engine GP9 1605 pulling Kapuskasing bound empties from 2 Track.
