Say hello to the new guy. We're at Cochrane Yard April 1st as 213 rolls in from Englehart with a new addition to the locomotive roster. GP40-2 2201 is one of three GP40-2's purchased from Helm Leasing in the U.S. and the first unit to arrive onto ONR property. These 3000 horsepower locomotives were built in the late 1970's with the Boston & Maine Railroad as their first owner. A big Thanks goes out to everyone who took the time to call or email me to let me know the 2201 was northbound.
