It's about 1120 on December 20th as a 6 hour late Northlander finally arrives at Cochrane with classic CN SD40-2 5222 at the helm pinch hitting for a konked out 1804. The temperature hovered at approximately -43 celsius overnight freezing up 2 washrooms on the 6 car consist. Needless to say, it was quite an eventful train ride. Yikes!...
