A special guest rolled up the Kapuskasing Subdivision the morning of September 29th. Yup, it's back. I catch up with CP's Track Evaluation Train as it makes a momentary stop at Kapuskasing for a "Horton" break as the consist heads up to Hearst. On September 28th the train tested the Temagami, Ramore, & Kirkland Lake Subs. Today they'll test the Kapuskasing, Pagwa, and Agrium Subs. Tomorrow the Island Falls. You'll notice that an ONR locomotive is doing the pulling. The original unit (CP 8218) was crippled at North Bay meaning a variety of ONR power was needed to handle the trip. The unit seen here is GP38-2 1805...
