This is turning out to be a good week for new sights at Cochrane Yard. Here's what showed up today (April 20th). This piece of Maintenance of Way Equipment is apparently called a "Taxi Crane" or a "Crew Hauler". It comes

complete with a large cab for Workers, a huge Hiab-type crane, and a lorry for hauling. Rumor has it that this piece of equipment may be used specifically on the Island Falls Sub. Also, according to the Plasser building plate, this used to be a CN unit.

Thanks to an email recieved from John at ONR's North Bay HQ, this machine is officially called a "Crew Crane Transporter"
