July 9th's "Pic of the Day" comes from Mattice (Kap Sub's Mile 110) where a new detector system has been installed about a week or so before this photo was taken on July 5th. This new system has all of the 'bells and whistles' required for the safe operation of your basic way freight, which are... A) A dragging equipment detector, B) A Hot Bearing Detector, C) A Hot Wheel Detector, and D) A blower to keep the Hot Bearing Detectors clear of dirt and snow.
