FEATURED "PIC OF THE DAY" DECEMBER 17, 2012

Here's a daylight view of caboose 123 captured December 12th at Cochrane. As you can see, it was completely repainted and shines brightly in the afternoon sun on the shop 4 track (you can see a shot of the caboose fresh from the paint shop in North Bay HERE). When you take a close look at 123, you can see that there are some clear differences in this paint job from your typical van paint (see an example of a typical 120 series paint scheme HERE). The most obvious is the smaller "Ontario Northland" lettering. You'll also notice that all evidence of the van once being numbered 123 is no longer there. The biggest change I noted was just how bright the yellow is. Gone is the classic ONR yellow replaced with the newer version of ONR yellow which has also been applied to GP38-2 1809 (see 1809 HERE) and SD40-2 1733 (see 1733 HERE). All in all, this "newer" version of 123 certainly looks impressive!
