FEATURED "PIC OF THE DAY" JANUARY 18, 2012
January 18th's Pic of the Day comes from Cochrane Shops where we meet up with GP38-2 1804 which was released from North Bay this week after repairs were made when the locomotive wound up on her side in a derailment on the Kapuskasing Subdivision on August 28th (See a photo of the derailment here) . On the paint side of things, only the most severely damaged sections were touched up. There's still plenty of scratches on this particular side of the unit since this was the side that was on the ground, but there's a few obvious changes too. Two of these changes are the new electronic bell and the application of ONR's new corporate unit numbering style similar to 1809 and 1733.
