She was once the pride of the Polar Bear fleet. Her history includes ownership by the Detroit & Mackinac & The U.S. Army. She was built in 1944 gracing ONR in 1952. As of August 11, 2000 "Lunch Car" 1404 "The Meechim" will probably be off to the great train yard in the sky soon as she slowly becomes over run with  weeds on Cochrane Shops' Rip Track.
