Once I returned to Cochrane and began developing "onrgallery.com", I've had the pleasure of meeting dozens of railfans from all over the world who travel the hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles required to reach Cochrane to witness the operations of Ontario Northland for themselves. One of these people have been making the migration north for many, many years. This person's name? Frank Vollhardt.
Frank, a resident of Ohio, is an accomplished author, an owner of one of the world's biggest Ontario Northland photo collections, and one of the most knowledgable Ontario Northland fans I've had the pleasure of meeting.
