When it comes to the Railroad Biz a good yard is an empty yard, meaning that all rail tonnage is enroute to it's destinations rather than just sitting around. Here's one of those "empty yard" scenarios in July 2005 at Cochrane. This gave me a rare chance to capture a photo of an arriving 221 "Northlander" with GP38-2 1804 in the lead rolling into town. I set myself up waaaay over on 4 Track in order to capture this shot.
