This is a June 2004 snapshot from Cochrane's Coach Yard of one of ten Dining/Bar Cars (one of which is an APU) purchased by ONR from BC Rail. This Observation/ Full Service Dining Car while under BC Rail ownership for their Pacific Starlight Dinner Train Service was named "The Indigo". "The Indigo" was built back in 1948 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad. Over it's lengthy career this car found itself working on Baltimore & Ohio in the 1960's adopting the red, white and blue paint of Amtrak in the 1970's. The official ONR number is 908. This car will be serving as a second Dining Car for the 2004 Polar Bear Express.
