Where were you during the black out of August 2003? Here's where I was. Cochrane Station along with "on duty" and "off duty" ONR Staffers. The challenge facing the folks here was to light up the platform and Station/ Hotel as much as possible to make sure the incoming Polar Bear Express can unload safely. Thanks to flash lights from the Shops (the Shops didn't need them since power was being supplied to them by an APU), and strategic positioning of Hi-Rail trucks to light up the platform, the arrival and unload of the Polar Bear went without a hitch.
