Here's a neat little sight. New ballast was being applied to the north end of the Island Falls Subdivision during the summer of 2002. FP7au 2002 was running backwards on the trip north of the Polar Bear Express September 2, 2002 and while we could hear the sound of ballast bouncing off the bottom of GP38-2 1808 which was leading our PBX consist, 2002 was actually collecting some of the crushed rock under her front coupler. This photo was snapped while the Polar Bear takes her 5 hour break at Moosonee before heading back south.
