The Little Bear rolls in to Moosonee around 4 pm September 2, 2002 lead by FP7au 2001 passing the lead FP7au (2002) of tonight's southbound Polar Bear Express. Of all the times I headed north on The Island Falls Subdivision, the Little Bear was always heading south which meant a meet with The Excursion at Ranoke. Today was special for me since I would be able to photograph the Little Bear heading north. Yet another highlight of this Little Bear trip was that today's Little Bear Engineman, Gary Calleizzi will be retiring after a successful 30 Year career with Ontario Northland. Gary brings his train up the platform right along side the Polar Bear Express and after an overnight stay in Moosonee, he will be running his train south for the last time. Congratulations on a great career, Gary.
