This is a photo snapped at Otter Rapids (Mile 93.5 on the Island Falls Subdivision) as 2 members of the Polar Bear Expresses Tail End Crew disembark from the southbound train to perform what is called a "P.K." which is basicly a visual inspection of the entire consist. Here we see Conductor Helper Jim inspecting one side while PBX Brakeman Derrick is on the other inspecting his own side while Pacific Starlight Full Length Dome Lounge Stardust (ONT 900) slowly rolls by.
