October 2002 brought CP Rail's "Guage Measurment Train" to Cochrane Yard to test the Kapuskasing and Island Falls Subdivisions. Here we see "Work 8217's" Conductor Sonny as he leaves the cab to line up the main for the return trip to Englehart after returning from Moosonee. One interesting thing for all you CP Buffs about CP 8217 is the 3 generations of paint jobs one the one unit. One, the "CP Rail" on the hood. Two, the "CP" on the nose from the "CP Rail System" days. Three, the new "Beaver" logo under the unit number which is where it's located on all of the newly painted Geeps.
