In June 2003 Cochrane's Yard Crew reports their locomotive "bumping" into the platform on the Main in front of Cochrane Station. This is a job for the Tamper and Ballast Regulator. In this photo, a Maintenance of Way Tamper slowly rolls along the Main lifting the rail and ties shoving fresh ballast underneath thus raising the Mainline allowing locomotives etc. to remain clear of the platform.
