GP38-2 1809 fresh from the paint shops in North Bay stands on display at Cochrane Shops March 2001. One of the MAJOR features of 1809's new paint is the fact that the ordinary "school bus" yellow has turned into flat out orange on this unit. Actually, with the "pumpkin" orange paint, the unit numbers under the Engineer's and Brakeman's windows are really quite easy to read not to mention the white "O.N. Rail" decals on the front and rear of the unit.
