There is nothing that can bring a railroading community together than to gather at the station, light a fire, bring a decorated train to town, drink some warm refreshments, visit with Santa Claus and say hello to Choo Choo the bear with Christmas Carols being sung in the background as the Christmas Season launches. We're at Englehart on a beautiful December 6th as the Ontario Northland Christmas Train makes her Englehart stop. This train has gone through some great improvements over the last year, and I was literally rendered speechless when I witnessed for myself the wonderful work that went into the extra lighting and the complete conversion of caboose 123 into Santa's Workshop during the off-season. It was wonderful seeing everyone in Englehart.
