Welcome aboard Ontario Northland Maintenance of Way Crew hauler 1873 (formerly caboose 120). This car is used as a transporter for M of W employees who ride along on ONR's ditchers. As you can see, the caboose has been totally transformed into a rolling home away from home since 12 hour days are pretty common for these guys. One of my favorite highlights of this quite 'homey' set up is the wall of fame (on the left) which is a collage of photographs put together celebrating the many people and events that 1873 and her many riders have been a part of for a whole lot of years. This photo was captured August 18th as 1873's water tank (which is in the accompanying generator car ONT 2597) was getting refilled at Cochrane with yours truly being invited for a quick tour of the special car. Thanks guys!.
