We're at North Bay December 7th for the debut of Ontario Northland's Christmas Train, a 4 unit consist (GP38-2 1809, centrebeam 4003, box car 7438, and caboose 123)completely decked out with Christmas lights. The plan for the ONR Christmas Train is to undergo a one week tour from North Bay to Hearst with one hour stops scheduled in the early evening completely lit up at 6 stops where Santa will be riding the caboose on the train to greet the public. Box car 7438 will open up to become a stage where local performers will sing Christmas carols. This is a sneak peek of the consist tucked away at North Bay Shops. In about an hour, the general public at North Bay station will witness the beginning of the "Evolution of the Santa Claus Express".
