On November 7th, 2008, Ontario Northland's "CN Haulage Agreement" took another interesting turn as approximately 30 flats completely loaded with ribbon rail make their way through Cochrane Yard from Hearst, enroute to Rouyn-Noranda where they will once again transfer to CN trackage. Seen here is a specially built bulkhead flat used to protect the rest of a train's consist should rails start moving. One of these cars are on each end of a ribbon rail load.
