2007 was indeed another busy year for Ontario Northland.
But, unfortunately I wasn't around for a lot of it. However, some of the
interesting things that occured this year included the cancellation of
Cochrane to Moosonee "Little Bear" service, replaced with a year round
"Polar Bear Express" service. A new tri-weekly freight service (419-620)
was also introduced to the north line to help with potential "Polar Bear
Express" congestion problems with freight. A new Hydro One transformer
is shipped by rail to Fraserdale. The NHL's Rocket Richard Trophy visits
Moosonee courtesy of San Jose Sharks' Jonathon Cheechoo. The Onakawana
Business car moves to Cochrane, and Ontario Northland rebuilds their
"Reefers" .
