2002 was yet another busy year along the Ontario Northland. Local
Operation Lifesaver Representatives Mark Blanchette and Doug Crawford
put together Cochrane's first "Mock" Grade Crossing Accident. I finally
take the 142 mile trip north on the Island Falls Subdivision to Moose
River where I photograph the historic 1800 foot long "Moose River
Bridge". The famed "Caterpillar" powered 2000 series FP7au is pulled
once and for all from high speed "Northlander" service forced to spend
the rest of their day's on the Kapuskasing & Island Falls Subdivisions.
And ONR's 3000 horsepower SD40-2's waltz into the "O.N. Rail Era" with
their own futuristic paint job.
